Mandel Group Inc. will soon start construction on an apartment building and renovate a historic powerhouse in the Milwaukee County Research Park.
The developer over the past week bought properties for those projects from the nonprofit business that runs the research park. The land deals will advance a plan to build the four-story Crescent apartment building with 102 units on West Innovation Drive, just south of West Watertown Plank Road in Wauwatosa.
Mandel also bought the more than 100-year-old former powerhouse building on Innovation Drive.
