Mandel Group, Inc., voted Top Workplace 2022, is searching for a part-time apartment Leasing Consultant to complete our team at a community in Waukee, IA.

If you excel at customer service, are motivated and personable, can multi-task in a fast paced environment, and embody a professional demeanor, you’re a great fit for a role as a Leasing Consultant with Mandel Group! As a Leasing Consultant, you’ll handle a variety of tasks throughout the day and week, dabbling in sales, marketing and resident retention duties. You’ll work closely with the other office team members and maintenance staff to make each day amazing for your residents and ensure we’re providing the finest customer service possible. If you enjoy administrative duties, new challenges and love assisting prospective residents with finding a new home that suits their needs, a promotion or shift to an Assistant Property Manager may be perfect for you. Assistant Managers maintain the same job duties as Leasing Consultants, but also work on billing/invoice reconciliation and rent collection / management on site.

Previous sales experience and/or leasing is strongly preferred for the Leasing Consultant role. Prior leasing experience is required for an Assistant Manager. Both positions require strong computer skills. Please note that positions will require weekend shifts.

What you’ll do as a Leasing Consultant:

  • Quickly develop complete product knowledge of your apartment community;
  • Respond to and convert e-mail and phone leads with prospective residents, into on-site personal tours of the apartment units;
  • Maintain an effective closing ratio and lease apartments;
  • Process applications and draft legal lease agreements using a template;
  • Understand and follow Mandel leasing and company practices at all times;
  • Know competitive products and communicate trends/market conditions to the office team;
  • Provide amazing customer service and assist residents with issues or concerns;
  • General administrative duties;
  • Other duties to assist overall property management efforts.

Assistant Property Managers complete similar job duties as Leasing Consultants, as well as:

  • Collect, follow-up on and management rent payments;
  • Perform other reporting duties for on site marketing and financial reasons;
  • Provide an exceptional leave of customer service to residents and assist with escalated issues or concerns as needed;
  • General administrative duties;
  • Other duties to assist overall property management efforts.

Compensation and Benefits:

Mandel offers the benefits listed below, as well as the following:
